
The LD38 Democratic team is seeking hardworking, passionate interns for our field operation. The program will take place in Bergen County and will be in-person. Responsibilities include:
Recruiting and training volunteers to participate in the political process.
Direct voter contact through phone banking, door knocking, and other canvassing methods.
Attending campaign and local political events.
Research for voter outreach.
Training and guidance will be provided by full-time experienced campaign staff. Interns will gain firsthand experience and exposure to political campaigning at the state and local level and will leave the campaign with valuable political and professional skills.
Requirements:
Availability to work part-time at least 2 days per week.
Ideal candidates should be highly organized, reliable, prompt, detail-oriented and self-motivated
Strong interest in politics and political campaigns
Willingness to learn new systems and skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Prior experience on campaigns, while valuable, is not required for this role
This opportunity is flexible and a schedule can be created to accommodate any school or extracurricular activities you may have. The internship is unpaid and college credit is also available for this role.
