LD38 Democrats Deliver Property Tax Relief for Seniors

Senator Lagana, Assemblywoman Swain, and Assemblyman Tully helped secure StayNJ, a sweeping plan to drastically reduce property taxes for 98 percent of homeowners 65 and older.

StayNJ will:

• Cut senior homeowner's local property taxes in half, saving seniors & their families up to $6,500 a year

• Provide senior renters with $700

• Provide senior homeowners with a $1,250-$1,750 check, depending on income, to help lower their property tax burden

• Increase the property tax relief in coming years to adjust for the cost of living, putting money back into the pockets of our seniors
