Bergen County, NJ – Today, the 38th District Democrats released a new digital ad – “Neighbors.” The ad, which begins streaming on connected TV platforms today, highlights their work combating gun violence, supporting New Jersey’s public schools, and cutting property taxes. 

“Right now, MAGA extremists like Micheline Attieh, Barry Wilkes, and Gail Horton are fighting to allow concealed guns at kids' soccer games and playgrounds in New Jersey,” said Reed Elman, the LD38 Democrats campaign manager. “Senator Lagana, Assemblywoman Swain, and Assemblyman Tully are working to combat gun violence and keep Bergen County families safe, which is why the New Jersey Police Benevolent Association and Fraternal Order of Police have endorsed their campaign.”

In Trenton, the LD38 Democrats have championed some of the most comprehensive gun safety reforms in the country, including background checks for private sales and banning armor-piercing bullets. Their work has made New Jersey safer – Everytown for Gun Safety ranks New Jersey as having some of the most effective gun laws in the country, contributing to the third-lowest rate of firearm deaths nationwide.

Lagana, Swain, and Tully have also been leaders in making our communities more family-friendly, championing New Jersey’s best-in-the-nation public school and passing the largest property tax cut in state history, StayNJ, which will help seniors afford to retire in the communities where they raised their families.
